Over the past 5 months, we have engaged folks across the state through interviews, focus groups and working sessions, who represent a diverse range of sectors, regions, and communities. Since launching the Roadmap at the Maine Outdoor Economy Summit in November 2023, we conducted over 60 interviews, hosted 8 focus groups, and facilitated over 300 people in our working sessions.
We’ve asked for their input on the assets and challenges of the outdoor recreation economy in Maine, as well as ideas for how to grow and diversify the sector over the next 10 years.
We have synthesized all that we’ve learned and are eager to get your input on priorities for the Roadmap!
The development of the Maine Outdoor Recreation Economy Roadmap must be equitable and inclusive. We recognize that some individuals may face financial barriers that will prevent them from sharing their voices and thoughts, which is why we’re offering need-based stipends. If you are interested in receiving compensation for your participation in a virtual build session, please complete this form.
If you’re reading this, it’s because the Maine outdoors has left an indelible impact on you. Your perspective is a crucial component in developing the Roadmap. We want to hear your thoughts, your ideas, and your story.
Thank you for your submission!
we want to hear from you
